The Other Half
Living with a partner who has ASD or difficulty
with emotional reciprocation

Facilitated by Christy Turner, LAPC
Under Supervision with Dr. Shannon Barnes, LPC; CPCS
This is a support group for partners of those who have high-functioning Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) or suspected ASD. Living with a partner who has difficulty with emotional reciprocation can be challenging and lonely. Although no relationship is without its difficulties, when one partner is atypical it can lead to greater misunderstandings. It is important to better understand how you have been affected by these struggles and to speak with others who are challenged in the same way. This support group is to help create a better understanding, share ideas on dealing with the same issues, and promote solidarity.
Groups begin August 12 2024 and occur bi-weekly.
